Outdoor Education Manager
General Description: Do you have a passion for the outdoors and for sharing the joy of God’s creation with students? Come and share this with the Puget Sound area schools and students by providing the leadership and programming for the Outdoor Education program at Warm Beach Camp. We have a diverse ecosystem, curriculum, activities and staff and are currently looking for a program manager to take it to the next level and build upon the foundation already established.
General Qualifications: The standard qualifications for being on Warm Beach Camp staff is being willing and able in good conscience to support our statement of faith, values and mission as an evangelical Christian, non-profit ministry. We are looking for a person who has strong communication skills, instructor and curriculum development experience in outdoor education, and who is relatable and engaging with school age children as well as a good team leader and facilitator with the teachers, chaperones and other camp staff.

Hospitality Services Member
General Description: Come serve on a dynamic team where every member serves in multiple roles within the Hospitality experience of our guests. From preparing and serving meals (Food Service) to setting up meeting spaces and cleaning sleeping rooms (Accommodations). This Hospitality Services Member position is a great first job experience in a Christian environment and community. Come and learn the essential skills of working hard, customer service and Christ-centered hospitality or be a part of the team that helps teach and model this for others. Age 16 or older, weekend availability is a must with some weekday shifts available. Position flexible to be just for a season, through summer or more year-round scheduling depending on availability.
General Qualifications: Beyond the general qualifications for being on Warm Beach Camp staff, we are looking for individuals who are a team-player and desires to serve others in a professional and genuine manner. The person in the position will need to be able to follow written and oral instructions, be respectful and willing to serve others and accept tasks as assigned. Focus of position may be in Food Service or Accommodations or a combination of both.
Specifics & Compensation: This is a part-time, hourly position starting at $16.28/hr for training up to $18.50. Summer Staff Childcare Counselor
General Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing staff that love Jesus and love kids, filling a unique opportunity to pour into the lives of our very own staff kids! It’s more than just a childcare position, it’s that plus the full adventure and fun of camp ministry this summer! While being a Staff Childcare Counselor you will have the opportunity to impact staff kids from the age of 3 to 12. An activity schedule will be provided and Counselors will be responsible for planning and preparing each days Bible Lesson and craft activity and providing an environment of professionalism, safety and fun. Specifics & Compensation:
Position will begin June 15, 2023 through September 1, 2023. This is a summer contract position. Pay will be $310/week. On campus housing and meals included. Option available for local staff to live off site and be paid hourly at $15.74/hr.

Recreation; Lifeguard
General Description:
As a member of the Hospitality and Recreation team, the Lifeguard will serve in the aquatics program in the pool and canoes providing a safe and fun experience for individuals and groups through summer season at Warm Beach Camp. Prior certification and training for all lifeguard standards are required or the ability to obtain before the start of the season. Additional duties may include adventure activities such as belay and spot elements of the climbing tower, team building, archery tag facilitation and support in other hospitality areas such as food service and housekeeping as schedule and needs arise based on each groups schedule and needs. General Qualifications:
Beyond the general qualifications for being on WBC staff, we are looking for lifeguards who are proficient, have a high focus on safety while desiring to see individuals have fun and grow in their experience of outdoor adventures. Primary duties will be lifeguarding at the pool while also assisting with canoe sessions in Puget sound as needed and possibly some other recreation duties such as preparing fields for sport activities, assist in archery tag or other activities as needed.

Horse Camp Counselor
General Description:
Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper. Counselors will assist the Head Counselor in planning, teaching, coordinating and carrying out activities, and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills. The person in this position shall at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior towards colleagues, guests and supervisors. Regular attendance is essential for this position. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 18 years of age. Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers (ages 7-18) in their living unit, within activities and throughout the camp, in order to meet the intended camper outcomes.

The employee in this position is required to live on the camp premises in staff housing at the Horse Camp facility, in order to provide round-the-clock supervision of campers and fulfill the program requirements of this position. Wrangler
General Description:
The Horse Camp Wrangler is responsible for ministering to the spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical needs of the campers and guests while they are on and around the horses, while at the same time maintaining the facility, equipment, and horses at the highest professional standards. The Wrangler will be expected to work as a team member with the other WBC staff toward the overall goals of the camp. This employee should be a positive role model to the campers in their spiritual walk, self-respect, love, and consideration of others. Guest Services; Hospitality Assistant
General Description:
Serve on a dynamic team focused on Christ-centered hospitality! As a member of the Guest Services team, the employee in this position will serve in a variety of areas hosting the group and serving their needs in food service, accommodations, recreational activities, general maintenance and grounds keeping or as best needed for the group and their needs or in preparation for the next group’s arrival. This employee will support all operational departments to ensure a seamless experience for our guests, being the hands and feet of Jesus as we provide Christ-centered environments, experiences and resources to draw people to God through camping ministries, conferences and events! General Qualifications:
Beyond the general qualifications for being on WBCM staff, we are looking for a person who has strong attention to detail, good follow-through and experience with audio/visual and basic computer skills to assist with troubleshooting guests needs while here. Must have strong customer service skills and be a clear communicator and must be willing to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings as scheduled to serve and host guest groups and events.

Contracted, seasonal position starting at $360/week. The employee in this position is required to live on the camp premises in dorm staff housing. All housing and meals are provided during the contract period. Contract period will be flexible but usually early June through end of August.

Important Information
- Standard summer staff contract is Mid-June through the end of August. See specific dates below.
- Staff must attend their “Staff Orientation” training at the beginning of summer and will receive a stipend for that orientation period. Contract pay will begin upon completion of orientation.
- Summer staff are required to live on-grounds in dorms or cabin style accommodations with other staff members or campers.
- Meals are provided during the week, and optional weekend meals. In most accommodations there is a kitchen available to make your own meals for your times off, if desired.
- Scheduled time off will depend largely on position and staffing each summer.
- We will interview applicants as they apply and will accept applications until all positions have been filled!
Important Dates - 2023
- Horse Camp Counselor positions are from June 19-July 8 (first week is Orientation).
- Wrangler positions are from June 19-August 19 (first week is Orientation).
- Hospitality Services, Guest Services, Food Service & Recreation positions all have flexibility on start and ending dates with average contract period being June 11 through August 19. But these positions may begin as early as May 14 and go as late as September 9 depending on employees availability and the needs of the camp and guests to serve.

Internships
Christian Camping Year-round Internships

General Description:
A Christian Camping Intern will be placed in roles that are up front with guests as well as working behind the scenes. They will serve as the face, hands, and feet of Jesus. This unique position will allow interns to work together as a team and with the other Warm Beach Camp staff to fill a vital role serving groups to fulfill Warm Beach's mission. When not working with guest groups each Intern will get an opportunity to shadow all areas of the Camp ministry as well as participate in classes and experiences led by our full-time staff. The internship program at Warm Beach Camp gives you an opportunity to see different sides of camping ministry. Through the program, each intern has the opportunity to be mentored by full-time staff as well.
General Qualifications:
Beyond the general qualifications for being on Warm Beach Camp Ministries staff, this position requires a sincere love for the Lord and pursuit of a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to Scripture! Willing to meet regularly with a mentor and accountability partner. And gets excited by meeting and getting to know new people along with a strong sense of hospitality and customer service.

What will I do to grow spiritually?
- Each week we will work through course books, Bible studies, or lessons as a group outside of your normal workday to learn more about Jesus, His word, and how it applies to you and camp ministry.
- Interns are expected to choose from a list of full-time staff members who have offered to be mentors. Each intern will meet with their mentor for weekly spiritual health check-ins and prayer.
- Interns should have a strong desire to be scholars of the Bible, making personal goals with the intern coordinator of how they would like to grow in their knowledge of scripture with monthly check-ins for accountability.
- The intern coordinator will choose Bible focused course work, books, and studies geared towards being a more complete per-son within the body of Christ.
- Interns are expected to attend church weekly. (Unless otherwise scheduled to serve guest groups)
- Attending any camp Chapels, and spiritual trainings offered.
What do I need to know about being part of the Warm Beach Camp community?
- At Warm Beach Camp we are a community. Many full-time staff live on the grounds. We regularly have all-staff potlucks to deepen that sense of community. These potlucks and other community-based events will be shared via email from staff mem-bers who are coordinating them. These events are not required but are highly encouraged, and an easy way to get to know those around you.
- Meals in the dining room are available to staff members at a modest cost when meals are being served. Meals must be signed up for 24 hours prior as a courtesy to our kitchen staff.
- While working food service shifts in the dining hall, you may receive a meal for free.
- Dorm housing is available to interns with utilities included for $243 a month.
- Staff may use the swimming pool during scheduled staff swimming hours.
- Staff may use recreation fields, gym, and equipment when not being used for guest groups and cleared with the Recreation Department or Guest Services.
What experiences can I expect to have outside of Camp? Are there any trips?
- We will attend the Christian Camping and Conference Association (CCCA) sectional. There you will attend seminars, meet other camp interns from neighboring camps, and collectively worship together for three days.
- We will tour and visit our sister camps, Black Diamond Camp, and Rainier Camp & Retreat Center.
- Additional camp tours may include The Firs, Miracle Ranch, Camp Gilead, and Sambica to name a few options.
- Spring of 2025 there will be 24-hour Prayer Retreat (exact date and location TBD)
Other helpful and fun things to know about Warm Beach Camp.
- Warm Beach is located just over an hour north of Seattle. It is surrounded by beautiful views of Port Susan, and the Olympic Mountains.
- Camp is the home to various kinds of wildlife; deer, eagles, rabbits, and many other small animals that call Warm Beach Camp home.
- With Mount Baker, the Cascade Mountain Range, and Mount Rainier all within a reasonable drive from Camp, it’s easy to find hikes and natural beauty to enjoy all around us on our days-off.
- Warm Beach Camp sits on 278 beautiful acres, boasting several miles of private trails to run, hike, and walk on right outside your door.
- Warm Beach Camp is a part of Warm Beach Camp Ministries, which also takes in Black Diamond Camp in Auburn, Washington, and Rainier Camp & Retreat Center near Crystal Mountain and Mount Rainier.
