A Summer of Transformation

This summer, Black Diamond Camp hosted 739 Day Campers. Not only did these kids participate in activities like ziplining, swimming, climbing walls, and archery tag, they also experienced God’s Creation and life-changing messages from God’s Word.

Each day, kids arrived with their own joys and excitement and their own set of worries and fears. One of those campers was Conner. Conner was at Camp most of the summer and usually had a go-with-the-flow attitude, but something was just off one particular week. He screamed at people, ran away, was uninvolved in activities, and just wasn’t happy.

Drew, a Black Diamond counselor, took some time to sit down with Conner and listen. “Connor shared with me that he does not get heard at home and was happy that I took the time to listen to what he had to say,” Drew explained. “From there, he was back to being the happy Conner that everyone knew. It was cool seeing the transformation from an angry little dude to a happy, content, little person – all because of a simple act of just listening.”

This summer was full of transformations big and small at Black Diamond Camp. Over 40 campers came to know Christ, and over 13 baptisms  were performed. Thank you for being a part of the life-changing work at Black Diamond Camp and Warm Beach Camp Ministries.

Let us now revisit the impact that Gary has had on Warm Beach Camp (WBC). Gary Kocher was a volunteer youth leader in the Pacific Northwest Conference of the Free ...

A Different Place for Different Needs

If you walk around the Warm Beach Camp (WBC) grounds during a specific week in the spring, there’s a good chance you’ll hear beautiful music pouring out of almost every meeting room. The Northwest Big Band takes over much of the main conference center grounds and floods the space with their sweet melodies during their time at WBC. “It’s so peaceful here,” One of the group’s leaders, Kate Erb, said, “so our participants can focus on their music and their ...

Living at Peace

“God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9 NLT God blesses us for doing the work of living at peace with ourselves and others. Peace reflects the character of God. A young woman named Skyler shared a video on the You Version Bible App on this verse. She likened the quality of peace as being one thing that shows us as being children of God. She went on to the ...
