Blessings Big and Small

To see Warm Beach Camp empty at a time of year when it would normally be flooded with guests and campers is an odd sight. The past four months at the Camp have been challenging to say the least. Camp staff have made drastic adjustments at work to adapt to government requirements and the lack of revenue the Camp is experiencing. But, in all of this we have seen God’s blessing and provision every day.

The blessings come in big and small packages: Two semi-trucks full of donated furniture and household goods to help beautify the Camp, boxes of produce for staff, funds from the Paycheck Protection Program to cover payroll and utilities for two months, and the installation of new fiber-optic WiFi. In addition, after years of searching, the Camp was able to hire a Head Chef. Although we cannot gather for daily staff meetings, it is a blessing to stay connected by sharing email devotions and other encouraging words.

During this season, opening the Camp mail has been a parade of blessing after unexpected blessing. Donors giving above and beyond their regular giving, people giving who have not given for years, donations so large or sacrificial all you can do is cry. Our volunteers continue to bless us by deep cleaning, repair and beautification projects that could not be accomplished with a full campus. Because of their contribution, when guests return, the facilities and grounds will look better than ever.

Warm Beach Camp is grateful for the ways our donors and community members have contributed to the ministry and the way God has been blessing us. As the Camp perseveres through these challenging times, we pray for the Lord’s blessings. Our thanks are endless, and our prayers are continuous.

Frank’s commitment each summer started my journey and love for camp ministry. Day Camp was influential in growing my faith and the counselors showed me how to be a follower of Jesus. I wanted to be a camp counselor when I grew up! Day Camp, Horse Camp, Fall ...

The Appearance Of

“In the morning, as Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, he was hungry, and he noticed a fig tree beside the road. He went over to see if there were any figs, but there were only leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” And immediately the fig tree withered up.” Matthew 21:18-19 NLT The second half of Matthew 21 is a sharp contrast between the appearance of faith by the religious leaders and the real power ...
