SunSparrow Volunteers
Be a caring presence in the lives of others.
Show Christ’s love by being a caring presence in the lives of campers with intellectual and developmental disabilities during the day and personally experience camp in the evenings. A great way to serve the community in Snohomish County and have a blast while doing it! Volunteer for one week or two week increments. Opportunity to earn community service hours and internship/practicum credit may be available.
*Warm Beach Camp is a DSHS/DDA-approved facility.

This unique camp experience brings a special blessing to volunteers!
Teens and adults ages 16 and older are invited to volunteer for one or two weeks of Day Camp this summer and for the Climbing Higher Day in the fall. Training is provided, so no experience of working with people with disabilities is needed. The next Climbing Higher Day is 10/1/24.
- Open to groups and individuals, ages 16+
- Participate for 1 or 2 weeks in the summer, or 1 day in the fall
- Stay overnight or commute
- Meals and lodging are provided
- Background check required
- Earn community service hours, internship credit, and practicum experience hours. *Must be coordinated before arriving on the grounds.

- Camp SunSparrow: training and orientation days for staff/volunteers the day before camp starts. This is a time of learning and community before campers arrive on the grounds.

Adriene Duguay
Developmental Disabilities Ministries Coordinator
Adriene Duguay is passionate about serving individuals with disabilities. She graduated from Trinity Western University with a BA in Psychology and is thrilled to now play a part in a ministry that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through camp experiences. In her free time, she enjoys playing ice hockey, going on adventures with her dog, and writing.

Tori Raiguel
In 2022 Tori began serving as the Volunteer Coordinator for Warm Beach Camp Ministries. She has been part of the Warm Beach Camp staff since 2015. Tori has a heart for Christ-centered hospitality. As Volunteer Coordinator, she gets excited about getting to know people and connecting their passions and gifts with the needs of the organization. When not at work she loves to be outdoors kayaking, gardening, or walking with friends.
