Refreshed Family Camp at Warm Beach Camp provides foster and adoptive families a time and place to find refreshment by drawing closer to God and each other. The schedule is relaxed with a variety of activities and speakers. Enjoy a blend of age specific and family experiences. The atmosphere is supportive and fun and provides encouragement for the journey.

Vacation with a purpose

Refreshed Family Camp is a family vacation designed to strengthen family relationships and grow in God together. It provides time for family members to engage in new ways, and have fun together, as well as enriching age-group activities.

Learn how to properly handle a bow and arrow while mastering the skill of archery!

Birth to 5 Program

Loving care is provided in separate age specific rooms for our babies and toddlers during the morning and evening sessions. Children age three and a half to five participate in an exciting preschool program where they make new friends and learn about God’s love.

New Elementary Age Program

Children ages 6-12 get the fun and thrill of a summer camp experience at their morning and evening sessions. Led by Summer Camp Counselors, behavioral specialists, and adult Leaders, they will participate in games, crafts, snacks, train rides, recreation, music, Bible studies, and more! Each group will consist of 12-14 kids, in age-specific classes. Throughout the week kids will move from activity to activity with their Clan. A small group of same aged kids and 2 counsellors.

Youth Program

Youth ages 12-18 will have an experience designed just for them during the morning and evening sessions. Activities include music and worship, faith building, recreation activities, games, swimming pool party, and more! Throughout the week kids will move from activity to activity with their Clan. A small group of same aged kids and 2 counselors.

Adult Program & Family Program

While the children and youth are having fun at their session, adults have the chance to participate in their own faith building sessions, or take time out to relax and enjoy some down time.

Monday and Tuesday morning begin with a time of reflective worship followed by a variety of soul enriching activities to choose from. These include yoga or a boot camp style workout, canyon adventure, coffee hour, walk and talk for couples, friends or individuals, time to take a nap or a shower by yourself. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

Monday/Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning parents gather with their children age 12 and older for interactive family sessions with inspirational speakers and engaging activities.

Allen & Angelina Denver

Speakers

Allen & Angelina have been foster and adoptive parents for more than 20 years. They have six children ages 11-36.

Angelina is a liaison with Fostering Together where she recruits and supports foster-parents in East and Southeast King County. While she enjoys building community in the Pacific Northwest, she and her husband,  have close ties to Hawaii and California as well. In her off time she loves to read, hike and play with her Australian Cattle Dogs.

Allen is a former foster-youth. He holds a B.S. in Math & Computer Science from Pepperdine University and works for the Microsoft Corporation. He's the holder of two patents and two patents-pending related to his work on software. He is passionate about the cause of foster-care and adoption, and serves on the board of directors of Seattle Angels, an organization which exists to serve foster families in the Seattle area. Allen is currently authoring two books "Fostering Success: A Story of Self-Discovery" and “Crucial Conversations for Dads of Daughters.” Allen and Angelina have been active in leadership at Overlake Church for many years and involved with both the annual Seattle Refresh Conference and Refreshed Family Camp since the beginning.

Carrie Blaske has been providing trauma caregiving education and training since 2006. She is a certified trainer of the late Karyn Purvis’ Empowered To Connect curriculum as well as David and Jayne Schooler’s Trauma Competent Caregivers curriculum. Carrie has a passion for equipping and supporting caregivers who raise kids from hard places and is a registered Holy Yoga Instructor, practicing in the Seattle area. Dave and Carrie are parents to seven children, a combination of bio, step parent adoption, and international adoption.

Ed has devoted a big part of his life to adoption and foster kids through Warm Beach Camp by working with others to make camp possible for foster and adoptive families. He and his wife, Bev, have nine kids and 15 grandkids. Five of the children and six of the grandchildren are adopted.

Full time registrants are given priority in housing assignments. Linens are not included (except where noted), linen packs are available in other lodging $12 per pack.

Registration fee includes program, insurance and meals (optional) fees.
