I would say to someone considering working at Warm Beach Camp to be open to God's leading in your life. Working at Warm Beach Camp is not only a time to share Christ's love with others, but a time for you to grow personally and spiritually. You will also have lots of fun.
The summer I worked at Warm Beach Camp impacted my life in several ways. I was forced out of my comfort zone and encouraged to get involved in the lives of others. I found that it was both less scary and more rewarding than I had thought. I loved being a part of the community at Warm Beach. My interactions at Warm Beach Camp gave me courage and experience that were part of my inspiration for the ministries I am involved in now. God challenged me to love people exactly where they are, to accept differences, to love unconditionally, to extend my self by ignoring my own preferences and instead look to serve and give to others.
The factors that were important in my decision to work at Warm Beach Camp was I had both the need of a solid Christian community as well as I felt the call to serve in the setting of Christian Camping.
Working at Warm Beach Camp I learned a ton of what it really means to have a Christian work ethic. I learned through making stupid mistakes and having a forgiving atmosphere where I could grow through my mistakes. The growing that took place in my life at that age in that environment was so incredible.
As part of the Summer Staff, I realized that I was there for more than a pay check, but actually a part of an important ministry. My co-workers modeled great work-ethics and great support for each other. This experience strengthened my ability to realize my own personal strengths and weaknesses. It helped me to look realistically at how I could apply my talents in future work experiences.
You will be challenged. You will grow in ways you cannot even imagine! You will have fun and get the opportunity to work with many awesome people. You will also discover personal talents that you didn't even know you had.
Warm Beach Camp was an amazing place to work. Also the hours I worked at Warm Beach Camp applied towards my college degree in Business Education.
Working at Warm Beach Camp had a huge impact on my life. I belonged to an amazing staff who desired to live out God's calling in their life. I was in a safe environment to be who God made me to be and to grow into who He wanted me to be. I was surrounded by amazing people who loved me unconditionally. Being in that environment and to serve and share my passion with the children that summer has impacted my life greatly. Because of this experience and several others, I've constantly sought to be involved in ministry.
I would encourage anyone considering working at Warm Beach Camp to take every challenge offered them; to always look to the positive side of things, to pray constantly, and be confident that God is always in control.
What drew me to work at Warm Beach Camp was my love for horses. I am so thankful God used that love to show me His love, purpose, and direction for my life.
