From the Fields

Hay harvest is a highlight of the late summer season at Warm Beach Horsemanship (WBH). Haying season brings together members of past and present WBH team members, volunteers, family, and pony clubbers to achieve the ambitious goal of moving literal tons of hay from fields to the hay barn. This effort necessitates many moving parts from hay cutting, raking, baling, picking, stacking, driving, re-stacking and managing. All hands are needed, welcome, and valued.

It feels natural to reflect on just how incredible it is that we are intentionally made with our unique strengths and abilities for God’s divine purpose.

In 1 Corinthians 12, it reads: “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone, it is the same God at work.”

How beautiful it is to observe these tenants in action firsthand at this special time each year. Without the hands of many, this work would be too much. The fields are vast, and the hay is enough to feed our horses for much of the year, and with this community, there is great strength.

Henry Ford said, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is process; working together is success.”

I see it as a great success that each year we are striving toward improved sustainability within the program, by harvesting food for the Warm Beach Horsemanship herd yielded from our own land, by the provision of God.

Warm Beach Horsemanship wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to all who have and continue to lend their helping hands to our program in any and every capacity. Every effort is greatly appreciated and serves this program well. It is through this community that our impact improves. Our unity and service reaching into the lives of so many through the grace and guidance of God.
