Never Stop
Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.
1 Chronicles 16:11 NLT

I have a confession to make. Sometimes I think I have arrived. I have actually mastered something and no longer need to pursue additional knowledge, learning or application. I ignore the possibility of new learning because “I have this figured out.”
Nothing could be further from the truth.
I have been driving for a few decades now. Even driving has changed as technology, laws, and culture changes. Continuous learning is required to be an effective driver. Never stop.
In my marriage with Bev, every season holds new insights and opportunities. The way love is communicated changes with the seasons of life. There is a continuous need to keep seeking and searching. Never stop.
With God, He is constantly showing us more about who He is and how we live with Him. I have read a specific part of the Bible 100 times and on the 101st time there is brand new insight and understanding in who God is. The need to continually seek Him is so important. Never stop.
Here is a second confession. I am weak. As I follow God, I increasingly recognize the need for His strength continually because I am continually weak. The words of the song “Jesus loves me” are true. “I am weak but He is strong.” I need God to provide me His strength all the time. Never stop.
Encouragement: Never stop searching for God and His strength. We need Him. We need the provision of His strength every day. Keep reading. Stay in prayer. Pursue God with everything you have.
Prayer: Dear Father God, forgive me for the times I have stopped searching for Your strength and seeking You. Thank You for the reminder to continuously pursue You. Thank You for Your strength. Thank You that You seek relationship with us.
In Jesus name, Amen.
