Outdoor School Outreach

Regardless of who comes to Warm Beach Camp, they are instantly immersed in God’s presence. One avenue in which the ministry is sharing His presence is through the Outdoor School program. This program is broadening the scope of who the ministry serves, participating in community engagement and impacting the local community.

A fifth-grade class from a local elementary school recently attended Outdoor School at Warm Beach Camp. As a demonstration of gratitude, each student wrote a thank you letter to the amazing Outdoor School staff. Here are just a few highlights:

“Thank you for making camp amazing and the best field trip in all of my 6 elementary school years.”

“I really enjoyed the survival in the wilderness class. It was interesting learning how to use a compass. Now, if I’m lost in the wilderness, I can find my way with a compass! But my favorite part of the class was to get a backpack filled with items, and decide which ones were necessary for surviving in the wilderness. Anyways, you were so helpful, nice, and funny at camp.”

“I send lots of appreciation to you for making our stay at Camp Warm Beach a splendid experience. Thank you for teaching us about survival skills!! I love to learn about them because they are fascinating and I find them really useful.”

“You gave me and so many other kids an experience we will never forget. Thank you for everything you taught us.”

The experiences these students have stay with them as they rejoin their everyday lives. From students discovering the wonder of hands-on learning to connecting with their peers through team-building activities to being surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation, anything positive that happens here at Warm Beach Camp is attributed to God’s glory!

A Different Place for Different Needs

If you walk around the Warm Beach Camp (WBC) grounds during a specific week in the spring, there’s a good chance you’ll hear beautiful music pouring out of almost every meeting room. The Northwest Big Band takes over much of the main conference center grounds and floods the space with their sweet melodies during their time at WBC. “It’s so peaceful here,” One of the group’s leaders, Kate Erb, said, “so our participants can focus on their music and their ...

Living at Peace

“God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9 NLT God blesses us for doing the work of living at peace with ourselves and others. Peace reflects the character of God. A young woman named Skyler shared a video on the You Version Bible App on this verse. She likened the quality of peace as being one thing that shows us as being children of God. She went on to the ...
