Special Friends

Develop relationships with special needs adults.

A great local mission opportunity to share Christ’s love by being a caring presence in the life of a special needs adult. Come individually or as a group. Volunteers are welcome to stay overnight on the grounds for the week free of charge. All meals are included. After campers leave for the day, you are free to participate in fellowship activities with other staff and volunteers. Each evening there will be a special chapel time where you can grow closer to the Lord and each other.

2018 Dates:

  • June 24-29 – Day Camp
  • July 1-6 – Day Camp & Overnight Camp
  • July 8-13 – Day Camp & Overnight Camp
  • July 15-20 – Day Camp
  • July 22-27 – Day Camp & Overnight Camp
  • August 5-10 – Day Camp & Overnight Camp

Age Requirement:

Age 15 or older. Volunteers ages 15-17 will need to have a parent/guardian signature on application.

Each week begins with two days of training for volunteers starting at 2:00 pm on Sunday and going through Monday afternoon. Campers arrive on Tuesday, and then the real fun begins.

Preparing Leaders through Horsemanship

Warm Beach Horsemanship fosters a wide array of hopeful young riders each year. The WIT (Wrangler in Training) program is designed to develop horsemanship, schooling, and teaching skills in a ministry-based environment. Warm Beach Camp is excited to welcome the new Assistant Horsemanship Director, Meg Rudy, and Barn manager, Aly Arnold! Meg Rudy Meg grew up at a camp near Spokane, Washington. Her parents were involved in the Horsemanship program, where Meg developed a love for horses and riding from a very young age.
