Thank You Warm Beach Volunteers!
April is National Volunteer Month, and at Warm Beach Camp, this season is especially meaningful. Volunteers are at the heartbeat of the ministry here. Their willingness to serve—often quietly and behind the scenes—creates the welcoming, faith filled environment that campers, guests, and families experience every day.
Today, we joyfully pause to say THANK YOU to every volunteer who helps make each year extraordinary at Warm Beach Camp.
Defined by Service and Generosity
In 2025, 381 volunteers dedicated their time and talents to Warm Beach Camp, contributing a remarkable 16,972 volunteer hours. These hours represent more than labor—they represent prayers lifted, weeds pulled, repairs completed, laughter shared, and countless moments of encouragement. Volunteers are more than just partners in labor; they become part of the Warm Beach community even after their time volunteering is done. Volunteers play a vital role in Warm Beach Camp continuing to be a place where lives are impacted and faith is strengthened.
Projects That Made a Lasting Difference
In 2025, volunteers completed several key projects that will benefit camp operations and guests for years to come. One of the most exciting accomplishments was the construction of a brand-new paint shop, built by 20 skilled volunteers from the NOMADS organization. Their craftsmanship and dedication with this project helped improve the Camp’s facilities, providing a much needed prep space for The Lights of Christmas.
Volunteers also completed a staff house restroom remodel, enhancing living spaces for the year-round team that supports Camp operations. These kinds of behind-the-scenes improvements often go unnoticed—but they are essential to the smooth, safe, and welcoming environment Warm Beach Camp is known for.
Faithful Support Where It’s Needed Most
While major projects are impactful, the ongoing presence of volunteers is just as essential. Throughout 2025, Warm Beach Camp relied on consistent volunteer support for programs and events, including:
- 18–20 volunteers per week to support Camp SunSparrow
- Around 50 volunteers per night during The Lights of Christmas
- Year round operational support, helping with everything from food service and hospitality to maintenance and event setup
These volunteers ensure that every guest feels welcomed, safe, and cared for—no matter the season.
A Diverse and Dedicated Volunteer Community
One of the greatest joys of volunteering at Warm Beach Camp is the diversity of people who serve. In 2025, our volunteer family included:
- 61 RV volunteers, arriving in 31 RVs
- 15 long term residential volunteers and 3 seasonal residential volunteers
- 14 SOWER couples, sharing their skills and faith
- 3 schools that visited camp to complete service projects together
Each group—and each individual—brought something unique. From students serving for a day to couples volunteering for an entire season, every contribution mattered.
Our Heartfelt Thanks
This National Volunteer Month, we celebrate you.
Whether you painted walls, remodeled spaces, welcomed guests, prayed with campers, or supported camp operations behind the scenes—your service mattered.
