There was SO MUCH more going on!

The following letter is from Becky, a foster mom, who was able to bring her two boys to Parent and Child Horse Camp because of Kids 2 Camp scholarship funds. It is a perfect example of the transformative power of Camp made possible because of our generous donors.

My boys and I attended the three-day Parent and Child Horse Camp last fall and the boys excelled and absolutely blossomed with the horses. On the surface this may all look like “fun and games” and a neat little camp, but trust me, there was SO MUCH more going on during this experience!

The very first night, we participated in equestrian vaulting activities and heard the concept of trust building and relationship. The second day, we built on the foundational trust relationship with the BIG draft horses. Then we began applying this trust relationship to the horses we had been assigned to care for and build a relationship with for riding.

The boys understood the trust relationship with the horses and the relationships they are in with people (like with me and the trainers) and we were able to talk about these things. On top of all that, the boys experienced the responsibility of grooming and saddling their horse. They also learned their horse’s personality, how to work with them, and how to understand and listen to the horse – without words.

I believe one of the key elements that makes this camp unique is that we, the guardians or foster parents/adults, also participate in ALL the exercises. The exercises with the boys were profoundly moving and built around “relationships” in ways that did not have to be verbalized.

The ENTIRE experience of this short camp was such an amazing experience for these boys in my care and had a profound effect on them. It was IMPACTFUL on their healing and had relational context to their lives and those who care for them.

We are thankful for the opportunity to provide experiences that bring positive impact in people’s lives. And we appreciate the ways people contribute to help to make it possible.

Being the Presence of Christ

“Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or ...

A Year of Growth, Grit, and Grace

As we look back on this past year of 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for the incredible transformation we’ve witnessed—within our staff, our students, our horses, and our community. This has been a year marked by intentional growth, renewed purpose, and a deepening commitment to the mission that drives our horse program. At the heart of our program is a mission: to provide transformational experiences of the love and truth of God through horses, riding, and horse related activities. This ...

Living Water

Where there is good water, life is abundant. Jesus Christ describes himself as the source of living water that satisfies and fulfills life in ways nothing else can. Living Waters beautifully describes what God is providing and doing through Warm Beach Camp Ministries. Coming to one of our three Camps is coming to an experience where the living waters of Christ are shared freely with everyone. This is where the Holy Spirit draws people to the love of the Father ...
