Warm Beach Day Camp is spearheaded by Sara Kauffman, the Day Camp Manager whose passion for youth ministry has shaped her journey for over a decade. She shares, “For the past 11 years, I’ve been doing youth ministry in some capacity . . . whether it was serving (at the church) across the street as a youth leader or serving in Skagit County’s Young Life as a leader, I’ve just never been able to shake the heart that the Lord has given me towards ministry. My qualification is that I think the Lord has given me a heart for kids and a heart for ministry. Those two things combined have just made me feel like this is an important role for me at Warm Beach Camp, and I just get excited thinking about kids hearing about Jesus at Camp.”

Sara’s passion is evident—not just in words but in action. She understands the profound impact that camp can have on children’s lives, and she is committed to creating an environment where they can experience faith in a meaningful and fun way.

A Day in the Life at Camp

What can campers expect from this exciting summer program? Each day is designed to be full of engaging activities, worship, and personal growth.

The morning begins with free play until everyone arrives, allowing kids to ease into the day with fun and fellowship. Then, the real excitement kicks off with a morning worship rally, featuring a daily lesson and uplifting music. Afterward, campers participate in group games, leading to a delicious lunch to refuel their energy.

The afternoon is packed with adventuresome activities like:

• Pool time to cool off and have fun with friends.
• Fort building, where kids can use creativity and teamwork.
• Climbing tower, a thrilling challenge for the adventurous.
• Archery tag, combining skill and excitement.
• Outdoor School, fostering a love for nature and learning.

As the day winds down, campers return for a closing worship rally, where they go over memory verses and reflect on the day’s lesson with their counselor. Sara sums it up best: “It will really be one thing right after the other; boom, boom, boom! We are going to have full, busy days filled of experiences.”
