Treat Your Family to a Week Away!

by Sarah Karstetter, Marketing Associate

When I look back over the years, some of my most precious memories have been the times when my family has been able to get away together. The stress of school, work, soccer practices, and running errands can take its toll on a family. Every once in awhile, families need to get away from the chaos and stress of everyday life and give themselves a chance to recharge and reunite. Is your family in need of some special time away – time to rebuild relationships, make some special memories, and simply relax?

Then it sounds like you could use a week at Warm Beach Camp’s Family Camp! Family Camp is specifically designed to provide opportunities for your family to spend special time together, with a whole lot of fun activities thrown in! Insightful speakers and Bible studies, daily worship, age-specific programs, and an abundance of recreational options keep families coming back year after year. And if that’s not enough, consider no cooking, cleaning, or laundry for an entire week! Now how’s that for vacation?

Family Camp 2008’s theme, United in Heart and Purpose, will take on an international flavor. The evening Keynote Speakers, David Carr and Richard Taylor, are from England; missionary presenters, Marvin and Lisa Klein, are from France; and Program Center evening worship will be led by featured worship leader from last year, Debbie Fortnum, from Canada. This week will also feature Gary Thomas as the Track 360 speaker, speaking on marriage, family, and spiritual formation. Find more information about these speakers and worship leaders at the Camp’s website.

In addition to providing your family with invaluable time to focus on one another and grow closer to God, Family Camp also has economic value. If it isn’t in the budget to take your family to a resort or theme park for a week, Family Camp is the perfect option. After all, one week at Disney Land for a family of four can cost over $5,000! That is nearly three times the amount it would cost the same family to come to Family Camp – and this includes six nights lodging, 18 delicious home-style meals, and all programs and general recreation! And the safe, wholesome environment provided at Family Camp is mentioned over and over by families who appreciate a break from “the world.”

This week will provide the opportunity for families to grow closer to one another and grow in their faith, as well as provide memorable activities for young and old! Don’t miss this opportunity to spend a special weekend away with your family!
