We are all in

Andrew Michele Ed Aug2016Responding to Vision matters. I will never forget the first meeting with Andrew and Michele. It was a simple vision that would require collaboration and commitment. I had clear conviction and desire from God to see a family camp for foster and adoptive families. Michele and Andrew have been living out a commitment to the health of foster and adoptive families through the Refresh Conference, Harvest Hands Alliance, The Permanence Project, Overlake Christian Church, and being adoptive parents themselves.

We met, shared the vision, and the response was immediate. “We are all in.”

Three and a half years later, more than 400 attended the third “Refreshed Families” foster and adoptive Family Camp at Warm Beach Camp in Stanwood, WA. Volunteers and staff serve to make the event possible. Donors give campership money to help families experience a much needed win in their lives.

Michele, Andrew and I met again to share vision about the future. Every foster and adoptive family needs a win. We looked at how we could improve the Refreshed Families camp to support even more people every year. We committed all to God as we look forward to next year.

To all who have responded to this vision – thank you.

The long weekend (Thursday – Sunday) was filled with fun activities, recreation, games, arts & crafts, movie night, swimming, and treats from the Snack Shack…fun for all ages! But what makes Family ...

He dedicated his life to humbly glorifying God, serving others, and diligently carrying out the work that was entrusted to him. Let us now revisit the impact that Gary has had on Warm Beach Camp (WBC). Gary Kocher was a volunteer youth leader in the Pacific Northwest Conference of the Free ...

A Different Place for Different Needs

If you walk around the Warm Beach Camp (WBC) grounds during a specific week in the spring, there’s a good chance you’ll hear beautiful music pouring out of almost every meeting room. The Northwest Big Band takes over much of the main conference center grounds and floods the space with their sweet melodies during their time at WBC. “It’s so peaceful here,” One of the group’s leaders, Kate Erb, said, “so our participants can focus on their music and their ...
