Welcome New Interns!
I’d love to share about the 2026-27 Internship Program at Warm Beach Camp.
The Heart of the Intern Program
The Warm Beach Camp (WBC) Internship is something of a “launch pad” into camping ministry and beyond! As the Internship Program Coordinator, my heart for this program is to provide a space where young individuals can grow and mature not only as members in the staff community but also as fellow believers in their personal walk with Christ. From serving guests on the Food Services team to prepping meeting spaces and cabins with the Accommodations crew, from facilitating classes with Outdoor School and Rec to setting up light displays on The Lights of Christmas Install Crew, the opportunities for personal and career development are extensive.
Through the Internship, our desire is to equip our Interns with work experiences that not only support the needs of the ministry as a whole, but also allow them to identify personal strengths, goals, and interests within the context of Christian camping. Ultimately, our goal is to provide a space where Interns can grow in their personal walk with Christ. Through serving at Warm Beach Camp, we hope that interns finish the year with clearer career direction, passion in their purpose, and a strong faith foundation.
This Year’s Interns
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Isabele (Izzy) Stephens and Lilly Kappel-Baker, who have joined the team at Warm Beach Camp for the 2026-27 Internship!
Izzy has joined the team from Gainesville, GA. She comes with a background in Outdoor Education and hopes to expand her horizons as it relates to this topic during her time at Warm Beach Camp. In her free time, Izzy enjoys reading, going for hikes, and doing puzzles. Izzy is looking forward working in a Christ-centered environment and community in the PNW where she can enjoy the nature and be closer to the coast.
Lilly, from Moses Lake, WA, has competed as a competitive swimmer and enjoys cooking and singing in her free time. When asked what brought her to the Internship at WBC, she expressed that she felt the Lord moving her to stay on the team at Warm Beach Camp after dedicating her summer to the ministry as a Day Camp Counselor. As Lilly shared her heart for this ministry, she states, “I love to interact with people!”
