Who is Carrying You?

Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms.

Psalms 68:19 NLT

When I was kid, there was a popular song titled He ain’t Heavy, He’s my Brother. My sister Susie and I used to sing it for fun and because it spoke to the value of walking through life with each other caring and sharing the challenges that come along our way. If you want a flashback to some mid 70’s sound here is a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5Ni-HBsOhY. Have fun!

There is something incredibly tender when someone carries us in a time of need. We are vulnerable right now and need help. When others come alongside and help, there is gratitude that goes beyond words. The truth about the powerful nature of loving and caring for each other is it is the character of God being lived out in our lives.

Today, join me in giving God praise. He is our Savior. God is carrying us in his arms. We are not heavy to him at all. He carries us with tender love and powerful strength.

Encouragement: We are all being carried by God right now as we face just how fragile everything we have planned is. In the middle of a pandemic, God is our savior through Jesus Christ. He loves us and is drawing us to Him even now.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for carrying us as we walk through this pandemic. We have always needed You to be our Savior. Right now, we are more aware of that truth. Thank you, Jesus, for being our savior. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for walking with us every step of the way. Thank you, Father God, for providing. We need You. In Jesus name, Amen.

The Delight of God

"No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love." -Psalms 147:11 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.147.11.NLT The Delight of God (spoiler alert: it’s you!) The writer of Psalms 147 makes three things clear: God provides for His created world. God responds to the needs of His children. He is not impressed by our own means of strength and power. There is one more thing God wants us to experience and know:  …the Lord’s delight ...
