2014 Family Camp

There's nothing quite like a week at Family Camp - the beauty of the Warm Beach Camp grounds, the fellowship with old friends, and the opportunities to worship God and grow together as a family. Our keynote speaker for 2014 is Rene Schlaepfer, senior pastor of Twin Lakes Church in Aptos, California. Family Camp at Warm Beach Camp


For kids, and adults alike, Family Camp offers some memorable activities that keeps people coming back every summer. For example, you'll have opportunities to experience:

Rene Schlaepfer

Rene Schlaepfer, senior pastor of Twin Lakes Church in Aptos, California (www.tlc.org) is the author of five books: Jesus Journey, God Is, Grace Immersion, Hope Experience and Thrill Ride: Thriving Through Life's Ups and Downs. He worked for many years in broadcasting, primarily as an air personality on contemporary music radio stations. While in broadcasting, Rene earned a BA in Radio/TV/Film from San Jose State and a Masters in Theology from Western Seminary. Rene’s dynamic style will engage your heart with the hope and love of Christ. Rene and his wife, Laurie, have three children they adore: Jonathan, Elisabeth and David. Besides their love of church ministry, Rene and Laurie also advocate together for their favorite causes: local food banks and an orphanage in India.

serves as the Music Director for LifePoint Church of Lake Stevens. Bill & Fritzi have been married for 28 years and love to serve the Lord together in song.

Les Krober

Les KroberAdult – Morning Bible Teacher
Les Krober, Pastor of Equipping/Small Groups, Wenatchee Free Methodist Church, is a servant of the church; graduating from Greenville College in 1969 and Asbury Theological Seminary in 1972. He grew up as a faculty-kid on the campuses of Central Christian College in McPherson, KS, and Greenville College in Greenville, IL, where both of his parents worked in various positions.
Les’ spiritual gifts are pastor/teacher, leadership and administration. He has invested them in pastoral ministry for 35 years and two denominational oversight roles for seven years. His three best decisions were to become a disciple of Jesus Christ at age 14, to answer God’s call to pastoral ministry at age 20, and to marry Peggy Whiteman at age 22. Their thirty-something children: Chad (Megan), Tim (Denise) and Rebecca (Adam Carpenter) have provided three, two and two grandchildren respectively.
Les rides bike, works in his yard, reads historical books and John Grisham novels. He loves chocolate chip cookies and Dairy Queen Blizzards! He loves to unpack Biblical truth; applying it in practical ways to the discipleship journey.

Don & Kathy Williams

Don and Kathy are starting their ninth year of ministry in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Don serves as superintendent of Grace International School (GIS), which educates the children of missionary families serving in 13 Asian countries. Don is also a member of FM Mission Thailand’s Board of Administration and the Asia Leadership Team. Kathy hosts and helps lead two classes of Community Bible Study International. She also volunteers at GIS and works with national leaders to provide oversight of ICCM’s Lahu Youth Hostel. Don and Kathy have five grown children living in the U.S. Their youngest two attend Spring Arbor University.

Nigel Hunter, Saddlerock Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Wenatchee
Nigel Hunter has been given a passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus. "God saves sinners" is the message he wants all to hear and respond to. Before his current position as a church planting intern, Nigel was a high school history teacher and varsity soccer coach at Wenatchee High School.  His hobbies include leading his beautiful wife, Nicole, and partnering with her to raise their four kids.

Chris Henderson
serves as youth pastor for Mountain Park Church in Oswego, OR. Chris brings a fresh, insightful teaching style that is thoroughly biblical and completely relevant to daily life. Chris is passionate about seeing young people embrace God’s call on their lives. Through music, prayer, Scripture, and reflection, Chris and his brother, Eric Henderson, will create an evening worship experience that will stir hearts toward Christ.

Back by popular demand, Eric Henderson will be leading an alternative worship experience in the Maple Center sessions. Eric is the Worship Director for Bethany Community Church, in Seattle. Eric’s passion is to connect people to the heart of God through worship.
