Bring the classroom outdoors!

Students love Outdoor School because it's hands-on, engaging, and fun. Fall classes develop positive bonds students and teachers can use all year. Spring classes give students an experience to look forward to all year long. The Outdoor School program at Warm Beach Camp is affordable and custom designed to meet your education goals, including Gen Science Standards.

Diverse Ecology

Warm Beach Camp is located on one of the finest eco-systems in the Northwest for the study of marine estuaries, upland forests, and human impact on natural systems. The beauty of the 278 acre property overlooking Port Susan Bay provides a wholesome environment.

Curriculum

Teachers choose the curriculum topics and our outdoor educators teach the curriculum with your group’s teachers and chaperones participation.

Designing Your Group’s Experience

Our staff can create a full package program for you, or work with you to customize your group’s experience.

Teachers choose the curriculum topics, recreation options, and work with our staff to put together a schedule to meet your goals.

Choose a length of stay.

Outline your goals for students.

Select curriculum topics and recreation.

Choose evening program activities. This can be run on your own, or with our staff taking the lead.

Mary Pat Sullivan

Outdoor School Director

Mary Pat Sullivan has over 20 years of experience in Outdoor Environmental Education. She graduated from Huxley College in Environmental Science and Seattle University in Biology and Education. Mary Pat has taught outdoors in the Olympic Mountains, the foothills of the Cascades, and other marine habitats before coming to Warm Beach Camp in 2017. She has taught within a school district and for organizations that provide outdoor education to schools. Mary Pat finds joy and fresh insights from students while teaching.
