Cared for by God, Always

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19 NLT

You and I are cared for by God. Always.

Along the way, we don’t always see the evidence of God’s care because we are blinded by the sheer force of stress or trauma we are dealing with. Questions burst out in hard times about God’s attention to our situation.

Make no mistake about it: You are cared for by God. Always.

The Apostle Paul says that he found the secret of being able to adapt, live, and thrive in any situation. In hunger and pain he found the resources of God through Jesus Christ. In times of abundance and honor Paul could see the care of God. His needs were met by God in different ways at different times.

Jesus says that He has food that people do not understand. It is more than physical food. His relationship with God the Father provided strength and nourishment in all circumstances. Paul came to know the richness of this relationship Jesus described. He came to understand a richness of faithful care from God in all circumstances.

As a follower of Jesus, we are encouraged to focus on the rich provisions of God through Jesus Christ.  The tendency to focus on physical needs is often where our attention immediately goes. Paul challenges us to focus on Jesus Christ.

God provides through Jesus. These resources are abundant, and not always familiar to us. It can be easy to want God to provide a certain way. When that doesn’t happen, we mistakenly think God has failed.  The challenge is to grow in our focus and awareness of the incredible ways God does provide.

Encouragement:  Enjoy the truth that God is caring for you, always. Focus on the rich and abundant provision of God through Jesus Christ. Ask God to grow an awareness in you of how He provides.

Dear Father,

Thank You for caring for us, always. Thank You for meeting our needs through Jesus Christ. Give us eyes to see and ears to hear the many ways You care. Help us to step away from shallow accusations of Your love when needs are not met the way we thought they should be. Your love and care is amazing.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen

God Speaks through Rosie

I have recently been given the opportunity to work with Rosie, one of our newer horses that we are bringing along in training here at the Warm Beach Horsemanship barn. I am always excited to get to know a new horse and their personality. However, it didn’t take long to realize this sweet mare harbored a lot of anxiety and worry. I tried to coax her into calmness with gentleness and patience, but she still didn’t fully trust me. When ...
