The Kids 2 Camp Benefit Auction Recap!

What a joy to be back together in person again for the Kids 2 Camp Benefit Auction. After two years of hosting the Kids 2 Camp Auction online due to Covid, we honestly didn’t quite know what to expect! There were quite a few changes from what we had done in 2019 including hosting it during Family Camp in the end of July, moving from the Big Top tent to the Maple Center, adding many family fun elements (including free ...

The Auction is Moving!

I don’t know about you, but I have missed being together for the annual auction. If you have joined us in the past, you will remember the fun of quietly (or not so quietly) outbidding someone for a certain item, or the friendly competition for a delicious-looking cake or pie.  Over the last two years, as we navigated the pandemic, we have been grateful for the opportunity to move the auction online. We found new opportunities and a way to ...

A Very Good Thing

When I gaze upon the beauty of a PNW sunset from my outlook at the stables. God’s faithfulness and provision are ever-present. His evidence abounds. The evergreen trees and lush green pastures withstand record breaking heat of summer, buffeting high winds of fall and bitter cold in winter. They remain the backdrop for the life-giving ministry between horses and people and give testimony to the work the Lord has laid before us at the stables. Beautiful fruit is being shaped ...

God’s Enduring Love

As we transition from 2021 to 2022 there is a profound truth that has become our focus for 2022:  God’s Enduring Love. We just finished the 24th season of The Lights of Christmas, the 2nd year of a drive-thru format. We shared and experienced God’s enduring love. The story of Jesus coming to save us, God coming to be with us, was clearly evident through, and word. We are grateful for all those who chose to take this in. As we look ...

Moving Forward Together

We have an opportunity to do something quite extraordinary in these times: Move forward together as we navigate this extended time of pandemic. While various forms of isolation and division have become a new way of living, as a follower of Jesus, we are called to a beautiful way of community that gives us the opportunity to find meaningful and creative ways to move forward together. We don’t do this in rebellion or anger. We move forward together with compassion, ...

A Summer of Transformation

This summer, Black Diamond Camp hosted 739 Day Campers. Not only did these kids participate in activities like ziplining, swimming, climbing walls, and archery tag, they also experienced God’s Creation and life-changing messages from God’s Word.   Each day, kids arrived with their own joys and excitement and their own set of worries and fears. One of those campers was Conner. Conner was at Camp most of the summer and usually had a go-with-the-flow attitude, but something was just off one ...

A Summer of Breakthroughs

Over the past several weeks of Camp ministry, many Campers have made decisions for Christ through Warm Beach Camp Ministries. In just one week of Horsemanship Camp, nine out of 12 Campers made commitments to Christ. At Black Diamond, more than 20 kids made first-time decisions at Day Camp and Group Camps in one week.    Somehow the pandemic has created an environment at Camp, unlike any other year. For lots of kids, it’s the best week they’ve had in two years. Andrew ...

Childlike Community

My daughter, Israel-- also called Izzy, is known as the wispy curly-haired girl with the vocabulary of a thirty-year-old rather than a 3-year-old. Her favorite phrases are, “I’m just feeling frustrated” or “Mommy, I need some space.” Let me tell you, she used those phrases a lot being stuck in the house without her friends during the pandemic. Izzy loves to socialize; she is what you would call a social butterfly and she has a butterfly rain jacket to prove ...

Planting – Because God First Loved Us

From Tim Marshall on Unsplash When somebody shows love to us first, there is a natural and healthy desire to do or say something nice in response to the expression of love.  We want to give love in return.  Often, we may even ask a simple question: Is there something I can do for you?  When we consider God, we know that He has shown us love before anyone else.  It creates a wonderful opportunity for us to consider what ...

Blessings Big and Small

To see Warm Beach Camp empty at a time of year when it would normally be flooded with guests and campers is an odd sight. The past four months at the Camp have been challenging to say the least. Camp staff have made drastic adjustments at work to adapt to government requirements and the lack of revenue the Camp is experiencing. But, in all of this we have seen God’s blessing and provision every day. The blessings come in big ...

Giving Through Your Retirement Account

Did you know you can make a charitable donation from your retirement account and lower your taxable income? Did you know that by gifting this distribution directly to charity, you can lower your taxable income while making a difference in a ministry?
