Volunteering with Warm Beach Camp Ministries

Volunteers are an integral piece of Warm Beach Camp Ministries. Volunteers help in a multitude of areas to keep the ministry operating smoothly and enable growth. Whether staying year-round or popping in for a day of service we value our volunteers!

In mid-November, staff and volunteers from Black Diamond Camp joined forces with staff and volunteers from Warm Beach Camp for three days to prepare for The Lights of Christmas event. During this time, the Stanwood Rotary Club spent an afternoon volunteering by distributing The Lights of Christmas posters and brochures to businesses around town. The team that makes the event happen each evening is a combination of staff and volunteers from the Warm Beach and Black Diamond community. Teamwork truly makes The Lights of Christmas happen. This season, we have about 25 volunteers per night working alongside our staff to share Christ-centered hospitality and Christmas joy.

From high school students to retired couples and everything in between, some are here for just a few days and some for months. Many of our volunteers come from our local communities and others from across the country. Last summer, we had a nurse from Tennessee, a construction worker from Oklahoma, a painter from California, and several full-time RV couples and families from various places.

Staff and volunteers from Warm Beach Camp also go down to Black Diamond Camp several times to assist with the ministry there. Summer and winter are our busiest seasons, but there are year-round opportunities to support Warm Beach Camp Ministries through volunteering. Whether you like to build things, garden, clean, serve food or play with Christmas décor all year long, we have a place for you. The highlight of volunteering at Warm Beach Camp Ministries is being part of this rich community. To join the team or learn more, go here!

NEXT- He will keep me in His love, and give me grace in this trial to behave as His child. THEN- He will make the trial a blessing, teaching me the lessons He means me to learn, and working in ...

Ride of a Lifetime

“Don’t you want to retire so you can do all the things you’ve ever dreamed about?” It’s a question that I’ve been asked a lot. My answer, “I have gotten to do way more than I could have ever imagined in my wildest dreams these last 50 years in Christian Camping!” Little did we realize what was ahead when my husband, Stan, was finishing up his last trek of college education. We were lying on a blanket, soaking up the ...

The Barn Changed Me

Before the barn, I felt like I was missing something—like my purpose began and ended with being a mom and a wife. While those roles are sacred, I knew deep down there was more of me waiting to be found. I was searching for myself… learning how to honor my truth, how to listen to my own voice, and how to step into confidence in who I am. Then I found the barn. And slowly, quietly… it began to change ...
