Hearing from God
The past year has been difficult, bringing physical challenges, relationship losses, and employment transitions. My husband and I came to Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center for several reasons. One of the most important was to hear from God.
One of the things I appreciate most about Warm Beach, is it provides the perfect environment to listen to God’s voice. I hear His laughter in the sound of children at play and see His joy on the faces of little girls trouncing the grounds in princess gowns and mud boots. I hear God’s love in the morning songs of birds as they trill His praise to waken the world. I feel His presence and power in the rush of the wind through the trees and the thudding of thunder in the night.
Warm Beach blesses us with solitude and solace. It offers refreshment and invigorating breath from the Spirit of God. We especially enjoy sitting in Cedar Lodge and looking out over the stunning beauty of Puget Sound. We also enjoy quiet moments under the towering trees, visits to the dike, or the beauty of horses in motion.
And while the campus is rich in natural beauty, it’s also blessed with nurturing employees and volunteers who love to serve in the name of Jesus. We’re grateful not only for the healing environment, but also the nurture and grace of staff who so carefully attend to every detail.
We always leave Warm Beach strengthened, encouraged, and enriched by intimate time with God and His people. Most of all, we know and love Him more because we heard Him speak to us—through nurturing service, God-centered staff and programs, and the glory of His creation.
