Meet Warm Beach’s Intern, Jessica Graves

The internship program is back in full swing at Warm Beach Camp (WBC)! We are excited to welcome Jessica Graves (left) from Ferndale as a 2023-2024 WBC intern. Jessica has been coming to WBC since she was eight and has participated in summer camps and volunteer opportunities at The Lights of Christmas.

“Years ago, my grandparents volunteered down here. And ever since I can remember, we’ve been coming down and helping with The Lights.”

Jessica was looking for a job where she could help people and make a difference while making friends. Through prayer and discussion with others, she was drawn to the Internship program at WBC.

“Warm Beach has always been like another home to me. When I come here, I feel instantly at home again.”

Jessica is enjoying the opportunity to live on campus and interact with the on-site community here, it doesn’t hurt that work is just a short walk from her house.

Interns get the opportunity to work in multiple departments to gain experience in several career options in camp ministry. So far, during her first two months in the program, Jessica has worked in Accommodations, Food Service, and The Lights of Christmas departments. She doesn’t have a favorite area yet but enjoys the opportunity to serve.

She is looking forward to meeting new people and growing closer to God during her time at WBC. And we are grateful that she is part of the Warm Beach team and excited to see how God moves in her life.

Check out the Warm Beach website for more information about the Internship Program.

For 15+ years, those of us who were part of the Warm Beach Vaulting team would do the same thing before running into a competition round. Praying at the entrance to the ...

A Joyous Gathering

The Horsemanship Volunteer Impact Dinner last month was a joyous gathering. With 70 in attendance, this event celebrated the faithful generosity, hard work, skills, and gifts of those who selflessly give of their time and energy down at the Barn. The night was filled with light-hearted laughter and heartfelt stories, reflecting the spiritual impact the program has on those involved. While the close-knit community connected over dinner, those in attendance learned how truly significant their contributions are. Mary-Grace Wallace, Horsemanship ...
