Spring Cleaning Time is Here!

Are things piling up around you? Is the garage overflowing; are you afraid to open that hall closet; or worst yet, are you paying every month for storage space? WBC can help!

Here is a list of some things we could really use at the Camp right now. Please take a moment to look it over and see if you have any of these items, lying around unused, and taking up space, that you could donate. It will be a big help to the Camp, and we’ll see that you receive a valuable letter of receipt, good for income tax purposes.

We are also looking for items for our annual auctions at the August Extravaganza. Items in new or near-new condition, or services or experiences that you could donate are what we are looking for.

To donate items, please email Gary Kocher, or call him at the Camp office, 360-652-7575 ext. 244.

Affected and Unfazed

“Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example. For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. But we are citizens of ...

A Loaves and Fishes Summer

This summer, a group of young people arrived to attend Warm Beach Horse Day Camp. As is common with these introductory lessons, youth arrive who have never ridden a horse before. A 1,000-pound animal can terrify a child, and to sit atop a horse for the first time can be downright intimidating! In these instances, instructors take great care to pair the young rider with a horse fit to handle the task. A First-Time Rider's Breakthrough Moment During week one ...

History in the Making

Warm Beach Camp excitedly welcomed Evergreen Boys and Girls State back this June, during a joyous and momentous change to their program! With a commitment to provide exceptional experiences for young leaders, Washington State has joined the ranks of New Mexico, California, and others in offering a fully co-educational program under the authority of The American Legion Department of Washington. During a week-long immersive experience, high school juniors participated in court proceedings, legislative sessions, and even political campaigns, all designed ...
