Join us as we prepare for The Lights of Christmas! Help transform the grounds into a Christmas wonderland. There will be projects of all shapes and sizes, and we need a wide variety of gifts and talents to accomplish them all. Lodging and meals provided for all participating volunteers for a nominal fee.

Choose the role that’s right for you:

Indoor Decorator Helper
Join the team under the direction of the Lead Decorator in creating delightful holiday spaces. Decorate Christmas Trees, arrange décor and artwork, stuff gift baskets, etc.  Decorating designs and supplies will be provided.

Outdoor Scene & Set installation
Join the teams outside to move supplies, set up the Nativity scene, install signs & artwork, arrange & assemble displays, hang lights, wreaths, & garland, etc. Work is directed by a crew leader assigned to a particular themed area. Bring your work gloves and come dressed for cool and possibly damp weather.  Limited numbers of tools are provided, but please bring electric drills for your personal use if you want. Work may involve lifting items of 25 to 50 lbs, although light duty outdoor work is also available.

Sewist/Seamstress
Bring your sewing machine and we’ll provide the fabric and designs. Sewing projects may be curtains, table cloths, décor, or other creative items.

What to Bring

Tools of all kinds–hammers, staple guns, ladders, glue guns, sewing machines, etc. (Make sure you label your tools with your name!) Also, bring bedding and towels. (No linens are provided for this event.) If you are coming on Thursday, bring your favorite holiday dessert to share.

Cost

Includes overnight lodging and meals for the entire weekend.*
Adults 13 and up – $29 per person
Children 5-12 – $15 per person
Children 0-4 – FREE
Commuter and part-time rates also available.
*Note: lodging is multiple occupancy – you may be sharing a room with someone you don’t know who could become a new friend.
