Three Places of Christmas

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker,”  Psalms 95:6 NLT

Christmas is filled with special places that have the potential to draw us closer to Jesus. Here are three of my meaningful places of Christmas I wish for you this year:

  • The Nativity: There are two nativity scenes that I try to spend time at every year. One is at The Lights of Christmas. The other is a small nativity that sits on top of our piano.

Find a Nativity and take some time to soak in the meaning of Christmas. Immanuel. God is with us. The Light of the World. Stay long enough to feel it in your soul.

  • A Place of Prayer: There are two primary places of prayer in my life. One is a chair by the warming fire in our home. The other is the Prayer Chapel at Warm Beach Camp. These are places to kneel, bow down, and worship God. These are places of surrender, confession, peace, and joy.

Take time to find a place of prayer. Bring Your life to God there. Trust Him. Worship Him. He loves you and wants to spend time with you.

  • A Warm Gathering Place: It’s no secret that my favorite gathering place is the campfire. There is something so inviting about a warm fire. People are drawn into community and conversation. It is a great place to reflect on Christ with family and friends this Christmas.

Even if a campfire is not possible, find a warm gathering place this Christmas to share the story of Christ’s birth. Take time to speak words of love and encouragement to each other.

May these three places of Christmas draw You into the worship of the One who came to save us, Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas,

Ed McDowell, C.E.O.

I am always excited to get to know a new horse and their personality. However, it didn’t take long to realize this sweet mare harbored a lot of anxiety and worry. I tried to coax her into calmness with gentleness and patience, but she still didn’t fully trust me. When ...
