An Internship that offers more!

“I’m leaping into the world! This is my first time living on my own, and I feel safe here. I feel like I belong. My favorite part about Warm Beach is the people; it is the coolest place to be!” exclaimed Jessica Graves, a current intern at Warm Beach Camp.

A supportive and encouraging environment has been created by Intern Coordinator Sara Kauffman, where interns like Jessica feel safe to push out of their comfort zones. Sara walks alongside each intern in their learning and spiritual development and is a trusted confidant when life events arise. She provides each intern with the tools needed to succeed at Camp: prayer, studying the Bible, and spending time with the Lord. Sara said, “It is my desire that every intern leaves with a deepened relationship with Jesus and knows their next step forward in where God is calling them.”

The Internship Program at Warm Beach Camp hires young adults aged 18-25 during the busy season, allowing interns to get in on the summer fun! During this year-long internship, interns work within Hospitality and Guest Services, The Lights of Christmas, Recreation, and Outdoor Education, and shadow each department to gain a complete understanding of Camping Ministry. Interns are also invited to participate in various trainings, seminars, and retreats throughout the year!

Aside from gaining crucial work experience that looks excellent on a resume, interns are matched with a mentor who is a full-time staff person who offers assistance, wise counsel, and prayer. Interns are welcomed into a close-knit community of believers, allowing for true connections and growth to occur.

By pouring Christ’s love into these young adults, the impact that these individuals will have on the ministry can be for generations to come! As Warm Beach Camp prepares for a second year of the Internship Program, Sara is excited to see who God is calling to serve at Camp this year.

God Speaks through Rosie

I have recently been given the opportunity to work with Rosie, one of our newer horses that we are bringing along in training here at the Warm Beach Horsemanship barn. I am always excited to get to know a new horse and their personality. However, it didn’t take long to realize this sweet mare harbored a lot of anxiety and worry. I tried to coax her into calmness with gentleness and patience, but she still didn’t fully trust me. When ...
