Enjoy Camp for a Day!

Stepping on the grounds of Warm Beach Camp feels like home. From alumni summer staff to guest group participants, Warm Beach has become a second home to our Partners in Ministry. Last May, at the Partners in Ministry Open House, I reconnected with my friend and fellow summer staff alumni I worked with 22 years ago. We shared a picnic lunch with our families and then watched our kids swim in the very pool that we swam in as campers and summer staff. We enjoyed catching up and laughing about all the fun camp memories we shared at Warm Beach Camp.

Spending even one afternoon at camp can be a rest for your soul. Warm Beach Camp is a sacred place and can be a source of rest and renewal. I hope the upcoming Open House will provide a time for friends of Warm Beach camp, new and old, to enjoy the camp. If it has been a while since you have come to camp, we want to invite you to come and check it out. We will have tour guides available to show you around the grounds. The purpose of this event is to create time and space for those who love the Camp to spend time enjoying it.

The Warm Beach Camp Partners in Ministry Open House allows people to come home to camp. We invite everyone who loves camp to join us for the Open House on May 19 from 1-4 pm. Hot lunch will be served all afternoon; Recreation will be open for all, and there will be space for you to enjoy the beauty of Warm Beach Camp. This is a drop-in event; you can come anytime from 1-4 pm. We hope that spending an afternoon at camp will bring back fond memories of camp and help you make new ones. Join us and see what is happening at Warm Beach Camp!

Click here to RSVP so we are sure to have enough food prepared. See you there!

My story with Warm Beach Camp began when I was nine years old. I came to camp for a week of overnight camp, excited for all the adventures that come with summer camp. One of those adventures was vaulting on the camp horses. Even though ...

Confused and Helpless

“Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So, pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask ...

Building Confidence through Faith

What do these have in common: a Pony Club rider working through her own fear as she tries to calm her anxious horse. An adaptive vaulter with MS, who has to re-build trust in her seemingly rebellious body as she vaults. A volunteer, realizing that being at peace and working hard can go hand-in-hand. A horsemanship instructor, learning how to convey knowledge clearly and effectively while also knowing that she does not have all the answers. Each of these individuals ...
