How volunteers make Special Friends Camp possible

Do you love serving others, love laughing and giving high fives to others? Then being a Special Friends “buddy” is the right job for you! Each summer, over 240 volunteer buddies are needed to walk alongside our campers with disabilities during their week of summer camp. Buddies provide campers an experience without limits which makes the week extra special!

Buddies don’t just change the lives of campers, buddies also get the experience of a lifetime and leave knowing their time at camp truly made a difference in the lives of campers. Lifelong friendships are formed amongst buddies, buddies grow spiritually, and a comradery based around serving others goes far beyond your typical camp experience.

Come be a buddy this summer! Bring family and friends to help too. We are now accepting applications for volunteer buddies. Sign-up online, email Faith Oates, or call 360-761-1267.

Meet Adriene, the new Disabilities Ministries Coordinator

Warm Beach Camp is excited to announce Adriene Duguay as the Developmental Disabilities Ministries Coordinator! Adriene was born and raised in Shoreline, Washington, and graduated with a degree in Psychology from Trinity Western University in British Columbia. Adriene has diverse work experience ranging from working housekeeping at Seattle Pacific University to working in a hockey shop to, most recently, working at a day camp.
