Stay and Play With Us!

The eagles are soaring, the horses are grazing, the flowers are blooming. The sunsets have been incredible lately.  Can’t you almost smell the campfires as you think about summer at Warm Beach Camp?

While we are unable to offer our regular Family Camp program this summer, I am excited to welcome guests back to Camp the week of July 27-Aug 2 for Oasis Family Camp 2020 Stay & Play. This is our one-time alternative format to address the need for social distancing. It is a chance for you to get away, relax and play together as a family. The plan is for families to come Monday to Wednesday, Wednesday to Sunday, or make it a full week. Stay in your RV, a tent, or one of our guest rooms. Invite your friends and extended family.

Guests will be assigned to a cohort or group of households that will eat meals, enjoy campfires and have opportunities to participate in a variety of recreational activities together.

We will not be offering age specific programming and there will be no large group sessions or speakers. We are, however, planning daily devotions and you will get to fill your days at Camp with the activities that best suit your family. We are planning for the pool to be open, opportunities to experience the climbing tower and high ropes course, archery tag, canoeing, mini golf, and more.*

We have volleyball courts, tennis/basketball courts, disc golf, sports fields, and lots of hiking trails for you to enjoy with your family. Please bring your own balls, games, and other sports equipment. In the surrounding communities there are lakes for swimming, boating and fishing, as well as places to get local ice cream and other treats.

It has been a quiet spring around here, but summer looks to be the time to begin gathering again. I’m looking forward to seeing you all back at Camp in a few weeks.

God Speaks through Rosie

I have recently been given the opportunity to work with Rosie, one of our newer horses that we are bringing along in training here at the Warm Beach Horsemanship barn. I am always excited to get to know a new horse and their personality. However, it didn’t take long to realize this sweet mare harbored a lot of anxiety and worry. I tried to coax her into calmness with gentleness and patience, but she still didn’t fully trust me. When ...
