Giving Tuesday: A Big Opportunity

On countless starry nights, or warm summer days, happy, chattering groups of Warm Beach Camp guests have spilled out of the doors of the Program Center and into the courtyard. After a night of worship, or a day of spiritual renewal, people gather in groups and catch up on life, what they learned, and what is to come. These conversations are just as much about the ministry of Camp as are the sermons and songs. Inevitably these conversations go on longer than anyone intended and people take a seat on one of the well-weathered, backless benches in the courtyard. While having a place to sit may seem like an insignificant thing, it allows those embroiled in thoughtful conversation to stay just a little longer, and to share just a little more about how God is transforming their life.

This Giving Tuesday is your chance to make those long conversations just a little more comfortable for every Warm Beach Camp guest. Giving Tuesday is December 1st. On or before December 1st Warm Beach Camp hopes to raise $1,500 to purchase a beautiful, all-weather bench with a back to replace the well-loved benches in the Program Center courtyard.

Give a gift today and next time you are at Warm Beach Camp, be sure to swing by the Program Center and take a seat on the bench you helped provide.

Every year, our entire staff pauses normal operations to focus on preparing for and hosting this magical event. Whether it’s during all-staff workdays for setup and takedown or working together to serve ...

Relationships

“Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”  Matthew 22:37-39 NLT  One of our primary challenges in life is that we look for everything but relationships to address the core issues of life.  Law, structure, rules, knowledge, pleasure, success, and self-determination are a good starter list of how we distract ourselves ...
