All nations will come to your light; mighty kings will come to see your radiance.

Isaiah 60:3 NLT

Do you wait with a sense of longing for God to restore and make things right? Do you long for others to show appreciation and value to you and yours? Do you desire God’s abundant presence and blessing in your life?

At face value, this verse of scripture seems to be written about God and His radiance. The truth is, this verse is written about the light and radiance of the people of Israel. The days of oppression are over. God has come to restore and renew. People are gathering from all over the world.

God says powerful things through Isaiah: “Your bronze will be exchanged for gold. Your sons and daughters will return home. Leaders from all around the world will bring you abundance.” God says He will be the everlasting light. The sun and moon will no longer need to set or rise.

God’s abundance is on display. He draws people and resources to accomplish what He wants done. God lifts us up out of oppression. He does make things right. There is a time where He will reveal understanding and appreciation to others of living faithfully for Him. His presence provides an abundance that is spiritual, physical and material.

Recently I was visiting with a young couple who have given this season of their life to the Lord in full time ministry. There isn’t much money in what they have chosen to do. Yet, God consistently provides for them in ways that surprise and bless them. His presence is evident in their lives. His abundance is shining upon them. He is lifting them up.

Encouragement: What God said to Israel through Isaiah holds true for us today. Keep following God. Watch for the abundance of His presence in your life with great expectation.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for coming and lifting us up out of oppression. Thank You for shining Your presence on our lives. Thank You for not only restoring us, but also lavishing on us far beyond anything we deserve. May we embrace the shining of Your light through our lives in this world today because of You and your incredible generosity.

In Jesus name, Amen

The long weekend (Thursday – Sunday) was filled with fun activities, recreation, games, arts & crafts, movie night, swimming, and treats from the Snack Shack…fun for all ages! But what makes Family ...

Quietly Faithful: Remembering Gary Kocher

Throughout Warm Beach Camp’s history, certain individuals have come along who perfectly encapsulate what it is to be a servant of Christ. Gary Kocher was one of those people. He dedicated his life to humbly glorifying God, serving others, and diligently carrying out the work that was entrusted to him. Let us now revisit the impact that Gary has had on Warm Beach Camp (WBC). Gary Kocher was a volunteer youth leader in the Pacific Northwest Conference of the Free ...

A Different Place for Different Needs

If you walk around the Warm Beach Camp (WBC) grounds during a specific week in the spring, there’s a good chance you’ll hear beautiful music pouring out of almost every meeting room. The Northwest Big Band takes over much of the main conference center grounds and floods the space with their sweet melodies during their time at WBC. “It’s so peaceful here,” One of the group’s leaders, Kate Erb, said, “so our participants can focus on their music and their ...
