My Marketing Job at Warm Beach Camp Ministries

Hi, my name is Kayla Stikeleather, and I am the Assistant Marketing Manager for Warm Beach Camp Ministries (WBCM), and let me tell you, I love my job! I was hired in 2018 and lived at the Warm Beach Campus with my husband and young daughter until we moved back to the Carolinas in 2021.

Now, I work remotely. In my position, I manage social media and digital ads, work on strategic planning, design the marketing strategy with my manager, train staff, and do a little bit of everything else “marketing” in between. But my favorite part of my job is connecting with staff and sharing ministry stories.

I believe one of the biggest callings God gives His people is to love one another. That means loving others through hard times, good times, times of change, through grumpy moods, and through meetings filled with so much laughter everyone is crying! (And those happen quite a lot with the marketing team.)

I love the community here at WBCM. It’s been a lifeline for my family and me. And even though I live hundreds of miles away, I know I have an incredible faith community in the Pacific Northwest.

I feel a sense of deep purpose in my job at WBCM. I get to help show the love and hope of Jesus to the community while using my gifts and knowledge to help grow the ministry. I feel so blessed for this incredible opportunity to use my life to serve others.

I’m excited to continue to grow in my faith, in my abilities at work, in leadership, and through the community at WBCM. It’s truly a wonderful place to work and celebrate God’s goodness.

I am always excited to get to know a new horse and their personality. However, it didn’t take long to realize this sweet mare harbored a lot of anxiety and worry. I tried to coax her into calmness with gentleness and patience, but she still didn’t fully trust me. When ...
