Students “Spring” into auction!
Nearly every year since 2007, the senior class from Lakeland Christian School (LCS) in Lakeland, Florida, has migrated to Warm Beach Camp for their Senior Mission Trip. This year’s group will be made up of 15 chaperones and 81 students who will spend a major portion of their time doing volunteer work projects for the Camp.
This year, their work project include cleaning up the RV area, setting up the tents for summer, helping install the new playground equipment, constructing and painting fences, doing gardening and landscaping, and more!
Over the years, most of the new picnic tables on the grounds have been assembled by the Lakeland groups, and every year the new group cleans all of them before summer begins.
Mike Sligh, Headmaster of LCS says, “We appreciate the ministry of Warm Beach Camp, and your staff does a great job of connecting the work our students do there to the mission of the Camp and the Great Commission. We are the hands, feet, and muscle for a couple of days to position your staff to be the mouthpiece of the Gospel during the summer. It is a very unique and meaningful connection that keeps us coming back, and we look forward to seeing you all again in a few weeks.”
Our hats are off to the LCS Senior Class for spanning the continent to come help at Warm Beach Camp! Each one of them leaves the Camp a better place. Thank you.
