Welcome Cami Blue and Mike Jacques!

Warm Beach Camp Ministries would like to welcome Cami Blue back as the new Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant and Mike Jacques as the new Plant Maintenance Manager!

Cami grew up at Warm Beach Camp in the 70s when both her parents were on staff, and throughout her adulthood, Warm Beach is a place that she often found herself returning to. After moving to Haiti in the 80s with her family and graduating in 1991, Cami would return every year to work as summer staff while she attended Taylor University. She then accepted a full-time position in the mail room, which led to managing the Warm Beach bookstore. In 2000, Cami returned to Haiti to teach for one year in a small Christian school, and upon moving back state-side, she worked for Warm Beach Camp. This was when she met her future husband, Eric Blue, who volunteered for The Lights of Christmas; they wed in 2003.

She most recently worked as the Administrative Assistant for the Warm Beach Free Methodist Church. Now, she has been led back to Warm Beach Camp to settle into a new role in a community she loves. To return to Warm Beach Camp at this point in her life, Cami stated, “It feels like I am coming home. There is an element of coming full circle. My kids, Daniel and Mercy, have worked at Camp this past year, and they are about the same age I was when I started working here.”

Cami is excited to be working with the ladies in the Business office. Welcome back, Cami! We are so glad you are here!

Mike grew up in New Jersey, and after graduating high school, he enlisted in the Navy. He served for four years and became a second-class petty officer electrician. Mike has been working in camp maintenance since 2000. He saw the position posted on the CCCA website. He applied, stating, “My family and I are looking forward to living and working in a positive Christian-based organization that gives back to the community.”

Mike and his wife of twenty years are parents to three lovely children: David, a senior in high school who will start college at the University of Kansas next fall, Sarah 13, and Adam 12. All three children are in band at school. Mike’s wife is an elementary school teacher who lives back in Oklahoma with their three children to finish this school year and will join Mike at Warm Beach this May!

As a family, they enjoy exploring the great outdoors by hiking and swimming. Please welcome Mike and his family to the Warm Beach community!

Small Beginnings, Big Outcomes

Jesus uses the smallest of beginnings (mustard seed and yeast) to describe big outcomes. Here is another illustration Jesus used: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches.” Jesus also used this illustration: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making ...
