Renewable Energy
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Reflection: Dear God, I am in constant need of having my energy renewed. I consume energy, even when I am resting. I get tired and weak. I am confronted by my own limitations. I am always looking for ways that renew strength and energy in my life.
This whole chapter of Isaiah is dedicated to the unlimited and unmatched resources You alone have, and provide. It doesn’t matter what the subject of renewal is, You are the wellspring for all renewal.
At a cellular level, doing renewal without You is missing connection with the ultimate source of renewable energy for heart, soul, mind, and strength. The whole of a person is renewed by waiting on and trusting in You.
The ongoing development of batteries is built around an operating premise: How long can it operate apart from its source of recharging? The longer the better. This is the absolute opposite of what I need in my life. I don’t want to live with long periods of operating on my own. Rather, I want to be constantly connected to You, God.
There is a critical quality for receiving renewal: WAIT on the Lord. Truth be told, I don’t like to wait for much. I am growing in my love of waiting for You, God. Thank You.
The outcomes of waiting are all about renewal: Fly, run, and walk with the energy needed to do so.
Encouragement: Wait on the Lord throughout the day. Long stretches of time or short breaks of waiting on Him are life giving. Trust Him with the issues of life. Receive the renewable energy God gives us so generously.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for being the source of renewable energy in my life. Thank You for reminding me how incredibly limited my strength is and how completely unlimited Your provision of strength is. Help me to WAIT on You. I trust You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
