Simply Thankful to God
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
1 Chronicles 16:34 NLT

This verse is part of a song King David gave to Asaph and Levites when the Ark of the Covenant was returned to the place King David had prepared for it. The Ark of the Covenant was key to understanding âGod with usâ and Godâs everlasting covenant. This was and is a really big deal.
In some ways this reminds us of Christmas. âGod with usâ. Through Jesus, God came to be with us, to live and dwell with us. He came to reconcile and restore us to God. He is the way, the truth and the life. God, through Jesus, took on all of our sin. Those who believe in Jesus and what He has done for mankind, are adopted into Godâs presence forever.
In other ways the Ark of the Covenant reminds us of the ongoing presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells with us, comforts in distress, guides us into truth, and helps us know how to speak and respond when under pressure for our faith.
Today, I am simply thankful to God for His redeeming, restoring and reconciling work in my life.
Thank you God.
Encouragement:Â Take time to thank God for who He is and what He does in your life every day. Believe in Jesus. Be grateful to the Holy Spiritâs presence in your life.
Prayer:Â
Dear God,
Thank you for living with me, with us, with this world. Thank you for Jesus reconciling us to You forever. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who dwells within us every day. Thank You for adoption into your family forever that includes full acceptance.
In Jesus name, Amen.
