Simply Thankful to God

By sspiehs3

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.

1 Chronicles 16:34 NLT

https://bible.com/bible/116/1ch.16.34.NLT

This verse is part of a song King David gave to Asaph and Levites when the Ark of the Covenant was returned to the place King David had prepared for it. The Ark of the Covenant was key to understanding “God with us” and God’s everlasting covenant. This was and is a really big deal.

In some ways this reminds us of Christmas.  “God with us”. Through Jesus, God came to be with us, to live and dwell with us. He came to reconcile and restore us to God.  He is the way, the truth and the life.  God, through Jesus, took on all of our sin. Those who believe in Jesus and what He has done for mankind, are adopted into God’s presence forever.

In other ways the Ark of the Covenant reminds us of the ongoing presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells with us, comforts in distress, guides us into truth, and helps us know how to speak and respond when under pressure for our faith.

Today, I am simply thankful to God for His redeeming, restoring and reconciling work in my life.

Thank you God.

Encouragement:  Take time to thank God for who He is and what He does in your life every day. Believe in Jesus. Be grateful to the Holy Spirit’s presence in your life.

Prayer:

Dear God,

Thank you for living with me, with us, with this world. Thank you for Jesus reconciling us to You forever.  Thank you for the Holy Spirit who dwells within us every day. Thank You for adoption into your family forever that includes full acceptance.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Greater than Jesus?

“Students are not greater than their teacher, and slaves are not greater than their master. Students are to be like their teacher, and slaves are to be like their master. And since I, the master of the household, have been called the prince of demons, the members of my household will be called by even worse names!” Matthew 10:24-25 NLT Jesus is addressing the truth about being a committed follower of Christ. When I was a teen and into my ...

Growing in Confidence

Warm Beach horsemanship strives to build confidence in riding students by encouraging regular hands-on practice, riding with independent aids, safe horse handling and effective communication skills. Students find a sense of ownership in the grooming and tacking process with their assigned horses in addition to time spent working with them in arena lessons. Warm Beach Pony Club members build on this foundation by learning more in-depth horse care and handling skills. In the month of October, two teams of Warm ...
