See & read about what is going on in the Warm Beach Camp & Conference Center community

What Led You to Us?

What brought me to Warm Beach and this beautiful community in this special corner of the country? The answer is simple. The answer is prayer; to the same God who has faithfully led me through every chapter. He has led me through mountains and valleys, over peaks, and through storms. But all metaphors aside, in truth, I am starting over. I am here to begin anew and I am filled with hope for the future God has planned for me and called me to.

In the beginning of this journey, I prayed a prayer I had already prayed 5 years prior: “Okay, God. What’s next?” This query was answered, like the last: clearly and immediately. I was searching (rather broadly) through the internet for my next career opportunity. And right there at the top of the search results, in my home region of the Pacific Northwest, was this listed position that fulfilled my every criterion. I was confident I possessed the necessary skills, traits, and values to fill the position. I am a camp kid, with many years invested in equestrian education. I have worked in the professional horse world as well as the Christian camp world. And most importantly, my heart is in this.

A month in, I have become more closely acquainted with my new home and work family. And with each passing week it becomes more evident this is exactly what was meant for me all along. I have the utmost faith I am exactly where I need to be.

For we are what He has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.” Ephesians 2:10

I am always excited to get to know a new horse and their personality. However, it didn’t take long to realize this sweet mare harbored a lot of anxiety and worry. I tried to coax her into calmness with gentleness and patience, but she still didn’t fully trust me. When ...
